Gerar Golu Devta

Golu Devata or Lord Golu (Hindi: गॊलू दॆवता) is the legendary mythological and historical God of the Kumaun region of Uttarakhand state of India and is their the much loved deity. 
Gol-jew or Golu devta is the most admired and worshiped God of Kumaon Hills.

Golu Devata is thought to be as an incarnation of Gaur Bhairav (Shiva), and is worshipped all over the region and regarded as the dispenser of justice by the devotees with extreme faith.
People usually tie the bells at the temple as gifts (chadava). Also many write their wishes or unfulfilled questions in papers and tie along with the bells. You can see many papers, stamp papers, documents tied along with the bells.
